Now that you know how our Admission process works, we’d like to give you some insights on the last step - the „Piscine“. It’s the French word for „Swimming Pool“. The idea is that everyone learns how to swim by immediately jumping into the water. We believe it’s the same when you start programming. During the Piscine, candidates will dive into the world of coding. By working through challenging projects and solving daily assignments alongside your peers, you are given the opportunity to figure out if 42 Heilbronns peer-to-peer learning method suits you. 

The Piscines takes place on a regular base. Have a look at our homepage to see current dates. It is an immersive program with the mission to bring you, together with about 150 other candidates to spend 4 weeks, seven days a week, day and night (including weekends) coding your heart out.
After the Piscine, we will carefully evaluate each candidate to determine if they are a good match for the 42 Heilbronn curriculum and community. There is no way to prepare for a Piscine. We only recommend that you get plenty of rest beforehand and be ready to interact and learn a lot! The most important thing you should know about the Piscine: it is not a competition! Cooperation and enthusiasm are two success factors that will help you make it through this unique experience.
